Lost Pets And Flotillas Of Fire Ants — Harvey’s Impact On Animals

“Keeping beloved pets safe gives people hope when they’ve lost everything else.”

We’ve seen some remarkably compelling images from the devastation of tropical storm Harvey. Many have been of people desperately trying to save their own pets or those of others. Dogs, cats, horses. Cattle being herded along highways that have turned into rivers. Animal welfare and rescue groups are on the scene, saving animals, sheltering them, and helping out distraught pet owners.

Vicki spoke with Here&Nows Jeremy Hobson about the latest in efforts to help the animals who continue to be displaced from the storm:
